The Struggle is Real!
How many times have you tried to color match your foundation and ended up with an epic FAIL! Too light, too dark, too matte, too oily...ladies, the struggle IS real! I get it!

If your skin tone is the following, your undertones would be:
Cool (pink, red or bluish undertones) Warm (yellow, peachy, golden undertones)
Neutral (a mix of warm and cool undertones)
It is also important to understand your skin: are you oily? are you looking for light/medium/full coverage? are you dry? do you need SPF? All these questions are important factors in choosing the right foundation for you.
SPF in a foundation will leave you oily; if you're already oily;
Mattifying foundation will leave you dry if you already have dry skin;
Light coverage foundation will not cover dark under eye circles;
