Men's Post Shave Balm as a Primer

If you're like me, and you wake up and go to sleep watching @nikkietutorials (one of many makeup gurus) you'll kow that she swears my Nivea Men Postshave Balm as a primer before she applies her makeup. When word was out that she hooked @lustrelux and @desiperkins on this product, I just had to fullfill my curiosity and get one myself.

Retailed in the amount of $7.00, I thought I would give this a shot.

Here's what you NEED to know about any primer: a primer with the ingredient "glycerine" in it means that any product you apply over it, will stick nicely and smoothly to the skin and will last you for hours. You apply the balm in a small layer over your face until it becoms tacky and sticky. At first instinct, you're going to smell like your boyfriend, husband, male friend...I personally don't mind that, the scent does not last long. However, a very important factor to take into consideration is that YOU NEED TO KNOW YOUR SKIN. This was an oopsie on my part.

Unlike @nikkietutorial, her skin is on the dryer side whereas my skin tends to get oily, mainly on the t-zone. Is this product ideal for oily skin...no! Infact, it applies smooth and feels tight at first, but throughout the day, the shine came through wether I had a moisturizer with no SPF, a liquid no oil foundation or just powder on. Not even setting powder did it any good.

Many makeup gurus DO swear by this, and I thought I would try it out. Off the bat, I can't tell what the hype is about, but I'm still experimenting with different setting sprays and foundation.
